Mr. Davis is originally from Bunn, NC, and a Bunn High School graduate. He then continued his education at Elon University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sports & Event Management, and then continued to Campbell University, where he graduated with a Master of Education degree. He has experience in both the professional and college sports management landscapes. He also has a mental health background, having spent time in Northeast Ohio. Aside from teaching, Mr. Davis was named the Head Football Coach in January of 2023 where he was a member before going on to play at both Elon and Campbell. He also holds a position with the NC Courage on the Game Day Operations staff. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Mrs. Faines teaches Business and is very passionate about her students learning how to be successful in the business world. She is a native of Vance County. She has a bachelor degree in Organizational Management and three Master degrees; Leadership Management, a MBA Business Human Resource from Liberty University, and a Master of Arts in Education from NC A&T University. Her hobbies includes spending time with her family, shopping and reading.

Mrs. Miller is an Ohio native graduating from Ohio Northern University in 1989 with a BSBA in Marketing and Management. After working in retail management for several years she moved to the Big Apple to pursue her love of fashion. Attending a 1 year accelerated program at the Fashion Institute of Technology receiving her Associates in Applied Science in Fashion Design and Patternmaking. She worked in the NY fashion industry for close to 5 years. She then returned back to her hometown of Ada, Ohio in 1999 and opened Bella Rose Boutique, a specialty clothing & accessories store. Her husband's new job brought her to North Carolina in 2009 and she began teaching at BHS in 2015. She is now in her 9th year Teaching Foods & Nutrition I & II. She loves sewing/designing clothing, cooking, coffee, art, anime, movies, music, musical theater, traveling and most especially her two daughters Kendra and Kaelynn.

From her roots in Granville County to her vibrant career in the culinary world, Ms. Oakley’s journey is a testament to following your passion. A proud graduate of Granville Central High School, Ms. Oakley pursued her love for food by earning an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from The Chefs Academy in Raleigh.
Her culinary dreams led her to the enchanting kitchens of Walt Disney World in Florida, where she honed her skills amidst magic and creativity. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Ms. Oakley made a heartfelt return to North Carolina, stepping into the role of Dietary Manager at a nursing home and providing essential care during a challenging time.
Today, Ms. Oakley is living her ultimate dream as a Food educator, inspiring and teaching the next generation. Her classroom is a place where passion meets knowledge, and every lesson is infused with her rich experience.
Outside the kitchen, Ms. Oakley is an avid baker and crafter. She loves spending time with her two dogs, Poppy and Mocha and enjoys precious moments with her fiancé and family. Her journey reflects not just a career in cooking, but a lifelong love for sharing the joys of food and creativity.

Mrs. Pate grew up in Massachusetts, then moved to Virginia in High School. After graduating from Glenvar High School, she attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She began her teaching career at Chowan Middle School shortly after graduating from VA Tech. After a year, she transferred to Bunn Middle (via Edward Best as it was being completed) where she taught 6-8 grade Exploratory classes. After being named the Teacher of the Year at BMS, she transferred to Bunn High. Since she began at BHS, she has taught Foods 1&2, Personal Finance, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel & Textile Production 1&2, and Interior Design Fundamentals and Studio. She constantly demonstrates her leadership abilities by being a Mentor to new teachers, the CTE Department chair, and serves as the NC District 3 FCS DLC Coordinator. She loves the Bunn Community so much, she has driven from Nash County everyday for over 28 years to teach there. On a personal note, she has two adult children, 24 and 19, who have both graduated from BHS. In her spare time she enjoys puzzles, sewing, bead weaving to create jewelry, playing video games, watching scary movies, and spending time with her family!
