Mr. Reynell was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He graduated from Spencerport High School in 1999. After a brief stint at Barton College, he attended and graduated from Temple University in 2003. He married his college sweeheart, Carrie, in the summer of 2004 and soon thereafter started his first teaching job in Wayne County here in NC. This is his eighteenth year in education and ninth at Bunn High School. He also serves as the BHS varsity boys' basketball coach.

Ms. Shannon was born in California into a military family, but moved to Catskill, New York, when she was four years old. She went on to graduate from the town's only public high schoo, Catskill High School. She moved to North Carolina in 1992 and continued her education at Fayetteville State University attaining her Masters degree in Teaching Special Education. She is licensed in SPED K-12, Elementary Education K-6, Middle School English 6-9, and High School English 9-12. Mrs. Shannon and her family made Bunn their home in 2021, and her two youngest daughters graduated from Bunn High School. Ms. Shannon works in the English department having taught Composition, Foundations of English, English 2, and Journalism.

John Rappold was born and raised in Monroe, LA. After obtaining his English degree, he worked in management in the food service industry. Later, John went back to school (ECSU) to proceed with his dream of becoming a teacher. He received his Secondary Education degree and joined the BHS team shortly after. This is John's third full year at BHS. He teaches 10th grade English (Comp & English II), and he is also the Assistant Coach for the Boys' Soccer and Baseball Programs. Go Wildcats!

Jodi Hearn graduated from Appalachian State University in 1995 with a B.S. in English, secondary education. Currently, she is a teacher at Bunn High School, teaching eleventh-grade English III, English III Honors, and AP Language and Composition. During her time at Appalachian, Hearn was part of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program.
Mrs. Hearn is a National Board Certified teacher who received her initial certification in 2002 and most recently renewed her credentials in 2022. This is her 30th year in education and her 13th year at BHS.

Ms. Waravdekar received her bachelor's degree in English Education from Missouri State and her M.Ed. as a Reading Specialist from The College of William and Mary in Virginia. Outside school, she loves binging on interesting documentaries, listening to funk classics, and watching the Seattle Seahawks win. Ms. Waravdekar is excited to be a part of our Wildcats team!
