Fine Arts

Mr. Shimfessel is the Director of Bands at BHS where he teachers Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Color Guard, and Guitar. He holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in music education from UNC-Greensboro and is also a member of the National Association for Music Education, NC Bandmasters, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Outside of teaching, he enjoys traveling, theme parks, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Adriane, and two daughters, Lilly and Selena.
