For BHS students, Rho Kappa combines both a love for social studies and a desire to give back to the school- community. Students must request membership to enter the chapter.
To be eligible for membership to Rho Kappa, BHS students must meet the following requirements:
1) Have been in attendance at BHS for the equivalent of one semester prior to being considered.
2) Have completed 2 semesters of courses in the field of social studies and be prepared to complete at least four semesters.
3) Must have a minimum grade point average for these courses of 3.00 GPA (unweighted) or the numerical equivalent.
4) Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 (weighted) or the numerical equivalent.
5) Provide evidence of community service and a letter of recommendation from a current teacher.
6) Dues are $20 per year. NOTE: This includes a t-shirt and the Rho Kappa chapter cost.
